Teen Breaks Into Parsons Home
3/10/10
Police arrested a local teen for breaking into a Parsons home early last week.
According to an arrest warrant, Joshua Austin Atchison, 18, of Holladay, illegally entered a home on Wilkinstown Road in Parsons early last week.
Atchison allegedly entered through a rear sliding door of the residence. He was then confronted by an occupant inside the home. The suspect did place the occupant in imminent fear of bodily harm, the warrant said.
The incident occurred just after 2 pm on Monday, March 1.
According to Investigator Joe Vaughn, the homeowner is a school employee who had called in sick the day of the incident.
An order of protection was granted to the victim, who recognized Atchison as a student at Riverside High School.
Atchison was charged with aggravated burglary in connection to the incident.
Atchison is also being charged by the county with contributing to the delinquency of a minor after he allegedly left the high school with a 17 year old student without authorization on March 2.
Vaughn said Atchison was arrested Tuesday after being questioned about the incident. He was released after posting a $5000 bond.
