Juanita Duck Fernstrom

Juanita D. Fernstrom, 82, died Monday, November 10, 2003. Vistitation and the funeral were held on November 11, 2003, at Parsons Mortuary in Parsons Tennessee. Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Parsons, Tennessee. Johnny Felker and Rev. Barney E. Austin officiated. Pallbearers were six of her nephews.
Her loving husband of 49 years, Edward B. Fernstrom, her parents, Roy L. Duck and Jewel Armstrong Duck, and her two brothers, Roy Benton Duck and Robert Johnston Duck, preceded Juanita in death.
Juanita issurvived by her son, Edward B. “Butch” Fernstrom and his wife Daphne of Ft. Worth, Texas; oldest daughter, Pat Austin and her husband Barney of Millington, TN; youngest daughter, Dr. Pam Fernstrom of Florence, Alabama; her brother and sister-in-law, Billy C. and Bernice Duck of Memphis, TN; her sister and brother-in-law, Martha C. and D.C. Crawford of Dancyville, TN; eight nephews, Tom, John, Jim, Mark and Tom Benton Duck, Craig, Bill and Chris Crawford; five grandchildren, Karen Berry (Mark), David Austin (Stephanie), Kristy Payne (Eugene), Meaghan and Landon Geary, and Gabby Ferstrom; and seven great-grandchildren, Will and Zack Austin, Stephen, Ashley, and Matthew Berry and Austin and Noah Payne.
Juanita lived in five states with her family but loved her home state of Tennessee best. She was always the loving mother to her own children and her extended family. Juanita enjoyed fishing and boating in the Tennessee River and loved to laugh with her family. She was also a retired bookkeeper and jewelry store manager. Juanita will be greatly missed from the “Duck Pond.”
